Final reminder for summer knock out competitions

Here is the final reminder for the summer competitions. All money must be paid by next Friday 3rd April. For those who have put their names on sheets and not paid the entry fee will not be included in the draw. For those who have put their names down with no partner for the doubles and foursomes, they will be drawn with another member in the same situation.

CAPTAIN'S DRIVE IN

The opening event of the 2015 season got under way on Saturday with the Captain's Drive In and the annual challenge match of the Captains versus the Vice Captains

THE BIG CHALLENGE (CAPTAIN'S DRIVE IN)

The first event of the 2015 season will take place on Saturday 28 March. This is a fun mixed event to open the season where the Lady & Gents Captains Drive off. Their team then challenges the Vice Captains Team. Club members are invited to sign up to this event to support the Captains and Vice Captains.

This is a shotgun start and a buffet will be provided by the club after for all those playing. Please arrive early to buy your flags and support the Charities chosen by the Captains.

The closing date for entries is Wednesday 25 March at noon. Off Peak members may play but must pay their green fee to the Centre.

Summer Knock-Out Competition reminder

A reminder to all members that the closing date for all the summer knock-out competitions is two weeks on Friday  (3rd April). All entry fees to be paid by that date or your name will not be included in the draw.

The Format

This is to be a Gents 4- Ball Better Ball pairs matchplay event and is to be played throughout season 2015 culminating in semi finals and final to be played in East Lothian over the weekend of 17th and 18th October 2015. Entry Fee £20 per pair.

The event is open to members of affiliated clubs in Perth and Kinross, 18 years of age or over, with a handicap of 28 or less. Pairs need not be members of the same club to enter.

The Semi Finals are to be played over Gullane No1 on Saturday the 17th of October and The Grand Final along with the 3rd and 4th place playoff at The Renaissance Club on Sunday the 18th of October.  All semi finalists are provided with accommodation (B & B) and dinner on the night of Saturday the 17th of October as guests of Perth and Kinross County Golf Union.

Summer Knock Out Competitions

The entry sheets for the three summer knock out competitions are now in the summer folder. The closing date for all the competitions is the Friday after the Captains Drive In 3rd April. Any players who have put their names down but have not paid the entry fee will not be included in the competitions. A reminder will be posted on the blog every week to remind members of the closing date and that all entry money must be paid.

Entry cost for the Summer Knock out is £1 per player, both the foursomes and doubles is £2 per team.

Under no circumstances will an extension be given in any of the knock out competitions.

The draw for all the competitions will be done the week after the closing date by two committee members.
