Result from the I & D INSURANCE MIXED TROPHY

The scoring was amazing on Sunday at the I&D Insurance Mixed Betterball. With 7 couples out of the 12 taking part returning scores of over 40, but the pair lifting the trophy today was Gary and Diane  McLuskey with an excellent 46 points. Bearing in mind they had a non scorer at hole 7 Gary and Diane scored a phenomenal 27 points on the back nine.

PRESIDENT'S CUP REMINDER

Saturday sees the President's Cup which will be run as a Stableford Competition with Spot Prizes for Ladies and Gents with a 10am start. It is stated in the fixture book that this competition will be shotgun start but may be changed to a 2 tee start depending on numbers. Can all members please ensure that their names are entered on the entry sheet by Thursday midday, as late entries will not be accepted. There will be a meal for all competitors at the end of play.

Competition Sign In Sheet and Entry Money

Will members please ensure that they tick the entry sheet in the clubhouse prior to playing in the competitions. This is causing problems when i have to reconcile the entry fees against members who have played. After discussing this issue with the Captain the decision has been made to disqualify any member who fails to follow the correct guidelines.

I have noticed recently that there is trend for members who have N/R in a competition have then failed to enter their score in the computer and also place their card in the box. It is important for handicapping purposes that all scores including N/R's are entered in accordance with the guidelines i have described.

Can i remind all members to put their name,date and name of competition on the envelopes when signing in. It is becoming a trend that envelopes are marked with the entry fee only and this makes reconciling the money very difficult.

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP/TANKARD UPDATE

Last night saw the semi-final of the Club Championship and Tankard being played. All semi finalists played some excellent golf on a lovely summer evening. The outcome of the matches were:

Mark Scott beat Chris Flannigan on 17th

TANKARD
Steve Irvine beat Robb Storrie on 15th
Mark Tinker beat Keith Ewan on 19th

The matches were played in a friendly and courteous manner and all players should take credit for their performances.

The Finals will be played on Saturday 11th July and club members are asked to come along and support the finalists on the day.
